Navajo Goddess She is the queen of a realm unseen by most and felt by nary but a special few With a whisper of smoke and a shiver of a birds wing she sings a song so faint the ears can not hear but is heard only by a heart that is dear and pure of light she intoxicates all who find her, glimmering in the starlight shine, in the rushing river, the blossoming flower, in the silvery spinning of a spiders web.

Sugar Skull Goddess - self portrait With the light always comes the dark. She lives in the deepest of places, but she is not a dark entity she is not death but a representation of the ultimate manifestation of the self. When you allow old ideas and behaviors to pass you find a renewed sense of self and an opportunity to grow into your full potential. She stands at the gateway of old and shows you the door to the new, the full moon lights the path. Only when you have walked through the darkness can you than stand in the light.

Moon Mother Another view of the mother of the full and glowing moon. She waxes and wanes, her light contains all the vibrancy of heart and spirit that anyone could ever dream to hold. She will sooth your restless sleep and hold you gently in her silvery mantle as you dream the darkness away.

The garden grows full and beautiful with graceful blossoms and buds. (acrylic on canvas) Wild White Rose Soft and sweet this little rose glows in the light as if lite by its own luminescence. You can find this little treasure nestled in the darkest places where shafts of golden sunlight don't often tread. This little blossom is for the seeker of secrets, the one who is not afraid to go where others have not gone before. Evening Primrose A soft and sensuous flower, the Evening Primrose has healing powers. It is imbued with healing attributes, its oil is coveted as a most cherished treasure. It has the ability to renew ones youthful glow, giving essential fatty acids to the skin. Possessing this healing serum is like having the key to eternal youth. One is truly blessed to witness the blossoming of this beauty as it blooms only in the dim light of the evening and last a day or two. Playfull The ritual of play. The un abashed joy and delight in tumbling, rolling, fumbling through the motions of the body. A de-LIGHT full sense of wonder and magick is necessary when engaging in this most sacred of rituals. Like many rituals it is one that we share with our animal kin. In child hood all beings play and in fact all beings SHOULD play. It is one of the most important activity’s that we can engage in strengthening the mind, the body and the heart. Play feels good, in every part of your being. When we play we develop physical strength but we also create a spiritual strength, establishing a relationship between Ourselves, our play partner and the Earth that holds us. We create very important personal boundaries and learn about sensual and friendly touch. This is a series that discusses the intimacy that can be shared between a human and a animal, in this case it refers specifically to the relationship with horses My relationship to horses over the last 20 years has led me to investigate the myriad of emotions that can be achieved while viewing the anatomy of a horse. These portraits of anatomy reveal a wisdom that is almost human and a level of emotions that are unparalleled by other human animal relationships. Here a very intimate world is created when the anatomy of a horse is expanded in size and the viewer finds them self lost in the emotions that are subsequently created.

Lotus over full moon rising The lotus lit from within, a symbol of peace and tranquility rises from dark torrential waters. I am an artist, born in Vancouver, I grew up in the Fraser Valley and in December of 2009 my husband and I relocated to the Roberts Creek on the Sunshine Coast of B.C. But after a few years of trying to settle into the coast we decided that the relaxed pace of the coast would be something we would come back to later in our lives and we are now re settled in Vancouver B.C. I am a painter, seamstress and costume designer. I have always been an artist. I began drawing at a very young age and started painting in my teens. I have a fascination with faces and I spent a few years throughout my twenties discovering my talents by drawing portraits of compelling people. I developed my skills with patience and a commitment of regular practice. This applies to my drawing and painting as well as my sewing and continues to be an on going process that gives me a great joy.
